Meeps
and Aunt Neensie's Vintage Fashionette
opened its doors in 1992 and has been offering
an alternative shopping experience to the nation's
capital ever since. Named after the founding owner's
grandmother (check out Meeps, left, and her sis,
Neensie, below), Meeps has been cultivated by
a handful of local ladies. Danni Sharkey and Leann
Trowbridge (right) are the shop's current owners and have been at the helm since 2001.
We scour the mid-atlantic region and beyond to
bring you unusual and evocative vintage clothing
and accessories. Pay homage to Meeps' fashion-loving
spirit: save yourself from the mass-produced clothing
of today and get into some attire with history!
